Living with epilepsy since the age of 13, Andrew Way has experienced firsthand how the condition can affect daily life. Now 43 and living in Sudbury, he has chosen to turn his experience into action.
Throughout the month of June, Andrew is cycling 500 km, riding a little each day to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy research. Having previously taken part in the 1 IN 100 Challenge, he continues to find new ways to give back and stay connected to the cause.
For Andrew, this ride is about more than distance. It is about increasing understanding in his community, where awareness of epilepsy remains limited, and showing what is possible through determination and persistence.
By sharing his journey and inviting others to follow along, Andrew is helping move epilepsy research forward, one kilometre at a time.

“Epilepsy is something I deal with every day, and lately it feels like it’s getting worse. I can’t control that—but I can do something. Riding is something I’m able to do, so I’m using it to raise awareness and support research.”
