      Advocacy is the process of requesting what you need or want for you and your child. It is getting the services and care you and your child are not receiving to which you are entitled. 
      Education about epilepsy will help to eliminate people's fears, misunderstandings, myths and tendencies to avoid or overprotect a child living with seizures.

      Women's stories tell us that there is still a long way to go. Women with epilepsy can be vulnerable to abuse and assault. Women with epilepsy rarely have access to information about how epilepsy affects and is affected by women's bodies and women's lives.

      It can be a very upsetting experience to be newly diagnosed with epilepsy as a senior. For others who have lived with epilepsy all their lives, new challenges and concerns present themselves in the senior years.
