Adriana is an impressive 11 year-old on a mission: To raise awareness and money for epilepsy.

After a trying year, in true Adriana fashion, she has not only gotten back up, but organized a fundraising and awareness event aptly named “Rebounding”.

“I came up with the slogan of the Rebounding fundraiser while thinking about just how far I felt that epilepsy had knocked me down, but how in true warrior fashion, I got back up each time and bounced back. I believe that’s the definition of a rebound. No matter how difficult it is, to get back up and keep moving forward.”

“To be honest, it can be pretty frustrating to lose control of my body, particularly because I don’t necessarily realize when it’s happening. What I can control though is my attitude towards it. And so, I’ve decided that the best way to regain control is to try to raise money and awareness towards epilepsy.”

 “If my story can help even one other person feel less alone, then I’ve accomplished what I set out to do.”
